This tutorial needs you to understand basic use of 3dsmax.
In this fifth part of Modeling Apache tutorial, you will add a 'nose' and a place for main rotor. This part of tutorial is simpler comparing to other part of tutorial.
38. As you can see, the 'nose' consists of 3 polygons. Select upper part polygon. Bevel twice. Select polygon in the bottom part. Give Bevel and Extrude.

39. Create small cylinder in the front of helicopter. Select Apache object. Make sure all sub-object selection is off, and in Edit Geometry rollout click Attach button and click cylinder in viewport. Now, cylinder has become part of helicopter object

40. Go to the upper part of the body. We will create a place for main rotor here. Activate Polygon selection. Select all polygons there. There are three polygons you should select. Give slight Bevel first. .

41. Select polygon in the middle and give Inset. Use Select And Non-Uniform Scale tool if necessary, to create a square. Change selection to Vertex. Select 4 vertices creating that square. In Edit Vertices rollout click Chamfer button. Click and drag to create chamfering to all vertices like right image below.

42. Now, select polygon in the middle. Give extrusion with negative value. This Part 5 tutorial is finished.
